Honoring the Legacy of Chicago Real Estate Leader Anthony "Tony" Pasquinelli

[CHICAGO, January 16, 2024]J2C Valuation is proud to announce the appointment of Joseph James Calvanico, MAI, FRICS, BCA, J2C Valuation’s Founder and President, as the Pasquinelli Family Distinguished Chair in Real Estate at the Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate at Roosevelt University, effective January 15th.

Mr. Calvanico brings a unique blend of academic excellence and industry expertise to this distinguished role. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Master of Science in Real Estate Law from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law. Mr. Calvanico has been serving as an Adjunct Professor at the Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate since 2023. He was recently appointed to the board of The Appraisal Foundation. 

Mr. Calvanico expressed his gratitude, saying, "I am deeply honored to hold the Pasquinelli Family Distinguished Chair in Real Estate, recognizing Anthony “Tony” Pasquinelli's remarkable contributions to both the Chicago real estate landscape and Roosevelt University. His legacy continues to inspire us all as we strive for excellence in education and the real estate sector."

Anthony "Tony" Pasquinelli, co-founder of the Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate, was a true visionary who co-founded Pasquinelli Construction Company in 1958. His passion for real estate and higher education led to the establishment of the Institute and the Pasquinelli Family Distinguished Chair in Real Estate at MBIRE, reflecting his commitment to shaping future real estate leaders.

In his new role, Mr. Calvanico will continue to lead J2C Valuation, where he specializes in high-value commercial, industrial, and residential appraisals, serving as an expert witness and thought leader in the industry.

As he embarks on this new journey, Mr. Calvanico eagerly anticipates engaging with fellow industry leaders, students, and educators to foster innovation and uphold the highest standards of excellence in real estate education.

We are thrilled about this significant milestone in Mr. Calvanico's career and look forward to supporting him in this exciting new role.
